Daicel makes Polyplastics wholly owned subsidiary

Daicel announced to conclude an agreement as described below for the acquisition of all the issued shares of Polyplastics, a consolidated subsidiary of Daicel, which are held by Celanese Corporation through Celanese's subsidiary, to make Polyplastics a wholly owned subsidiary of Daicel.

aveni S.A.,a leading provider of metallization technologies for advanced damascene and 3D memory devices, has secured an investment in Series B financing from Diamond Edge Ventures (DEV) and has entered into a Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC), an operating company of the Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings Corporation (MCHC) Group to develop disruptive 3D memorytechnology.

JOLED and Toyota Tsusho Opens gJOLED Demonstration Room Shinagawah

JOLED and Toyota Tsusho announced that they have jointly opened gJOLED Demonstration Room Shinagawah which is used for business negotiations and located in Toyota Tsusho's Tokyo head office. It will bring together JOLED's lineup of OLED display panel products and allow visitors to see and experience the features of OLED displays, such as thin profile and light weight, high contrast, wide viewing angle, and high-speed response.

In this demonstration room, 32 inch, 27 inch, and 22 inch OLED monitors, 22 inch cylindrical OLED display, 14 inch flexible OLED display, 12.3 inch automotive OLED display, various types of 22 inch OLED glass signages and other products are exhibited.

SDK Develops Wet-Resistant Heat-Conductive Aluminum Nitride Filler

Showa Denko (SDK) announced to develop wet-resistant heat-conductive aluminum nitride filler to be used as heat-radiation filler for semiconductor devices. SDK has started to offer samples of the aluminum nitride filler.

The company successfully developed a technology to treat a surface of aluminum nitride with ultra-thin film which drastically reduce the amount of corrosive ammonia produced when moisture sticks to the surface of aluminum nitride, to ten-thousandth of that of aluminum nitride without the surface treatment.
