AGC to Further Expand its Supply System for EUVL Mask Blanks

AGC announced to further expand its production capacity of EUV lithography photomask blanks at its group company AGC Electronics. This expansion is in addition to the expansion announced earlier this year on February, and will enable AGC Group to triple its EUVL mask blank production capacity by 2020.

Mitsubishi Electric Establishes Mass-production Technology for Curved Color TFT-LCD and Begins Taking Orders

Mitsubishi Electric announced that it has established mass-production technology for a new curved (concave) color TFT-LCD module that combines environmental ruggedness to withstand extreme temperatures and an attractive design, making it ideal for use in automobiles and leisure boats. The module offers a curvature radius from 700mm to less than 1,000mm and optical performance equivalent to that of flat screens. The company is now accepting orders for the new module.

SCREEN Finishes Construction of New Manufacturing Facility for Display Production and Coating Equipment

SCREEN Holdings announced to finalize construction of CS-2, its new manufacturing base specifically designed for display production and coating equipment. Work on the facility has been continuing at the site of SCREEN's existing Hikone Plant since May this year.

The factory will be able to supply the systems required to handle the production of ever larger displays, as well as provide the stringent levels of cleanness necessary for the manufacture of production equipment for flexible displays including increasingly precise OLED panels. It will also be able to easily supply the post-processing systems for displays managed by group company SCREEN Laminatech and the coating systems for rechargeable batteries.

EBARA constructs New Technology Development Center

EBARA CORPORATION (EBARA) announced to construct a new technology development center at the end of June 2019, under the name Building V6, it will be home to experiments and developmental activities for dry vacuum pumps and gas abatement systems the mainstay products of EBARA's Precision Machinery Company.

The center will be more than double the size of existing experimental facilities. Construction cost is approximate 1 billion.
